As Melbourne’s relocation service, we’ve welcomed countless people to the city. Arriving without accommodation sorted can mean a hotel stay while you get organised, which is challenging when you’re starting a new job or university.
Temporary accommodation can be expensive, and you may also need to arrange storage for your belongings. Not allowing enough time to find a quality rental can lead to issues—dealing with real estate agents, transport hassles, settling for a smaller home, or overpaying.
Our property buyers can handle the buying process for you—from sourcing properties and video home inspections to professional negotiation, auction representation, building and pest inspections, and legal representation to assist with the settlement process.
Homes for sale in Melbourne tend to be snapped up fast. You need to be ready when listings go live, or you risk missing out on that perfect home. Many newcomers to Melbourne aren’t prepared for the fast-paced market and may end up with less-than-ideal accommodation. Our property buyers can help you secure the right property the first time around, so when you land in Melbourne you can move straight in.

Planning
Our process begins with establishing your buying criteria through online meetings. We then provide weekly recommendations of suitable properties from the live market. During this stage, we can also assist with finance and the sourcing of appropriate legal representation.

Due-Diligence
This process involves inspecting your selected properties and providing a detailed video report for each inspection. We generally inspect two to three properties per week for our clients. In addition, we provide a thorough market appraisal to ensure you have a clear understanding of the property’s true market value.

Auction or Private Negotiation
After completing the due diligence and finding the property that’s right for you, we move on to the purchase stage. This may involve submitting an offer on your behalf or representing you at auction, depending on how the property is being sold. At this stage, we also assist with digital contract signing, reviewing the contract of sale, and organising the deposit payment.

Property Settlement
There’s a lot to think about at this stage, but we’re here to make the process easier. We can help with the final property inspection to ensure the property is handed over correctly and matches the condition noted at the first inspection. We can also liaise with your conveyancer and the selling agent to ensure settlement is handled smoothly. If required, we can collect the keys on your behalf and place them in a key safe, ready for your first access to the property.

Who we are
About Relocation Agent Melbourne
Established in 2014, Relocation Agent was developed as we saw a need for advanced housing placement in Melbourne. As the operators of four inner-city rental agencies and Melbourne’s largest real estate buyer’s agency, we saw that many people were moving into Melbourne and having trouble securing properties that worked for them. Often people end up overstaying in costly short-term accommodation while balancing work or study.
When working with Relocation Agent, you’ll get the expertise of a team of licensed real estate agents with decades of experience working in the Melbourne property market. Our consultants have been property managers for some of Melbourne’s most prominent property brands, and they understand what is required to get a rental property secured for our clients. Our team are all Melbourne locals, and we know which suburbs are highly desirable for people living and working in the city.
